La Grande-Motte - Le Fini
Hi, now in La Grande Motte and riding is fini other than maybe Mt Ventoux. The reason we have been off the air for several days is we have not had internet access. Have put a lot of photos on below.
What a difference good weather makes, From Riom on we have had good weather and we have both enjoyed the ride. Now know why we are here.

8 June day 5 Loches to Argenton 85 ks (no actually...
Well we set off in the rain and rode for 2 hours in the rain (had to wonder what we were doing here) but it stopped 1 hour before lunch so only had a head wind which reduced us to 15 ks per hour to contend with.
Lunch was after 50 k’s and Marie thought a ride and chat with Phillipe was in order. The others had gone ahead so Mark, Peter, John and Grant set off down the wqrong road...

Our luck with the weather may have run out, raining today as we set off on a shorter day but the rain will test out tired legs, sore butts and rotator cuffs - no Pete Townsend impressions today !!!!
Sunday June 7, to Loches 115 kms
Hi
Cold when we set off, Marie took the correct option and travelled with Phillipe to the first Chateau before rding the last 50 k’s.
The first 65 k’s was at first throughy forest but then 30 k’s along a very straight road. Visited 2 chateax at Langeais and Azay le Rideau.
Have been very lucky with the weather and made it to Loche just before it bucketed down.

Hi Today was easier than yesterday although we still managed a couple of ascents greater than 450 metres. Weather has been fine but cold and riding with all gear but the wet weather gear.
We started out at 9 and were quickly into the countryside (the whole route has been designed to keep us of the main roads), riding through rolling hills and coming across a village every 6-7 kms, towns every...

Great day touring Paris, can hear the bells of Notre dame from our apartment which is very central, only one block from Notre Dame !! Bit of culture befroe the bike ride visiting Sacre Coeur, Mont Matre and Musee d’Orsay.

Trip Overview
Our trip will traverse the length of France from Deauville on the English Channel (or La Manche to the French) to the Mediterranean Sea just south of the town of Montpellier. The “Manche to the Med” is the French equivalent of “Lands End to John O’Groats” in the UK. We will ride over 1000km in 10 days with the majority of our trip on small country roads .
